Volunteer With Inside the Orchestra

Inside the Orchestra has a rich history of volunteerism in the Denver metro community dating back to 1958. Volunteers have been the life-blood of the organization since its inception and work hand-in-hand with the staff to continue to bring music to young children.

Volunteer at Tiny Tots: One of the main ways we bring music to children in metro Denver is through our Tiny Tots concerts. Tiny Tots concerts are BIG, and we need volunteers to bring the program to life! Tiny Tots concerts are held at multiple locations all over the metro area throughout the year on both weekends and weekdays. Volunteer hours are typically from about 7am-1pm. Volunteers assist with event set-up, checking in and seating the audience, selling merchandise, collecting donations, and more. Volunteers also spend time getting hands-on with little ones in our instrument “petting zoo” and assisting kids and their caregivers with music-themed crafts. Plus-you get to enjoy the show!

In addition to Tiny Tots concerts, Inside the Orchestra has volunteer opportunities related to fundraising and special events, as well as administrative and marketing projects.

Here’s what some of our long-time volunteers have to say about their experience:

  • “If you love music and you think it’s important that kids are exposed to it, there’s no better way to spend half a day”. -Leah
  • “[Tiny Tots] is a wonderful program to help expand the minds of future generations and I feel grateful that I get to be a part of that!” -Meg
  • “I have been volunteering for Inside the Orchestra for more than 10 years. I love seeing the reaction of the young children and the number of parents who really get into the music.”- Marion
  • “It’ll be the most fun you’ll have volunteering.” -Bree
