Inside the Orchestra is committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in music education. While our platform contains some diversity of performers and musical styles, we represent only a small piece of the musical puzzle. We know that orchestra music is one tiny slice of a vast global landscape of artistic experiences. Our platform offers valuable orchestral education tools, but it is in no way meant to represent all of the diverse and important voices of musical cultures and traditions around the world. We’ve included some outside resources throughout the the platform, and hope that any discussions or demonstrations of non-orchestral musical styles or traditions throughout the platform will be presented in addition to, not in replacement of, a wide variety of artists from each tradition. If you have suggestions of material and artists you believe we should highlight, please do not hesitate to share.
