Frequently Asked Questions

How old should my child be to come to Tiny Tots?

Tiny Tots concerts are designed especially for children ages 7 and under, but everyone is welcome! Infants can join for free (under 1 year old), and older siblings often love it too.

Do I have to sit on the floor?

Most families sit on the floor so they can truly be “inside the orchestra,” where kids can move, dance, and interact with the music. But if sitting on the floor isn’t comfortable for you, no problem — chairs are always available.

How long are the concerts?

Each Tiny Tots concert lasts about 45 minutes and includes around 10 short, engaging pieces — just right for little attention spans! After the performance, families are invited to stay for a 10–15 minute musician meet-and-greet where kids can say hello and ask questions.

What should I bring to Tiny Tots?

You’re welcome to bring blankets or cushions to make your floor spot comfy! Please skip the camp chairs — we’ll have chairs available for anyone who needs them and make sure they don’t block the view of our smallest concertgoers. Drinks with lids or caps and nut-free snacks are welcome too — we know how important it is to keep little tummies happy!

What if my child needs to take a break?

You’re welcome to step out at any time if your little one needs a breather. Families can re-enter whenever they’re ready — we know how it goes with kids!

What kind of music do you play?

We play a mix of everything — from classical favorites to kid songs and fun surprises in between. You might hear Mozart, Laurie Berkner, or even “The Wheels on the Bus.” Every piece is designed to be engaging and interactive.

Are your concerts sensory-friendly?

Yes! Our programs are created to be welcoming for all ages, stages, and abilities. If your child has sound sensitivities, you’re encouraged to bring hearing protection — and we have a few pairs you can borrow if needed. You can also request a quieter seating area, and of course, families can take breaks and rejoin anytime.

Who are your musicians?

Our musicians are all professionals and proud members of the American Federation of Musicians. Many also teach at local universities, perform with other Colorado orchestras, and give private lessons. Some have even been performing with Tiny Tots for more than 40 years!

Can I take pictures?

Absolutely! We love seeing families capture special moments. If you share your photos on social media, please tag us — we’d love to see your Tiny Tots memories!
