Back to Basics – What is Tiny Tots?

In-person Tiny Tots programs are 45-minute immersive, interactive concerts for kids (and their adults) to get truly “inside the orchestra.” Attendees are seated on the ground and encircled by our 30+ piece orchestra. Music selection, program design, and scripting are all geared to connect young children with music – physically, emotionally, and mentally. Named in Denver Westword’s “Best of Denver,” the experience is one-of-a-kind!

Our July performances are themed “Let’s Build”.  Audiences will help uncover the building blocks of music as they build and tear apart the sounds they hear around them. Learn about the families of the orchestra, how to build a song using melodies and harmonies, explore the difference between rhythm and beat, and more! We’ll have fun building with actual giant musical blocks as we build our orchestra from the ground up!

In a world filled with screens and digital distractions, our Tiny Tots program stands as a shining beacon, introducing young children to the wonders of orchestral music through an immersive and interactive experience.

Inside the Orchestra’s Tiny Tots program is a testament to the transformative power of music in early childhood. By providing immersive performances, interactive experiences, and inclusive opportunities for young children, Tiny Tots ignites a lifelong passion for music, fostering creativity, emotional well-being, and cognitive development. Through Tiny Tots, we hope to shape a future generation that values the arts and understands the profound impact they can have on individuals and communities.

Plus, Tiny Tots is FUN! Still on the fence? Check out this video of a previous Tiny Tots performance: https://youtu.be/7_hS2HyAQbQ

And while you wait for the live concerts, check out our video library.  Yes, it means screen time, but our content is educational and fun and we would love for you to check it out  (and hey, sometimes parents just need a break, right?)
