Musical Makerspace Fundraiser!
Join us at this unique fundraising event benefiting Inside the Orchestra. Guests will experience a magical day of family fun, where imagination meets melody.
Saturday, June 15th: Time 10:00am-12:00 pm at the International School of Denver.
Families will have the opportunity to dive into a world of colorful and fun art projects and activities alongside the enchanting sound of orchestral music. Artistic experiences will include a variety of mediums including paint, poetry, movement, and more.
Get ready to explore a fun morning of laughter, inspiration and the beautiful sounds of our talented musicians. All ages welcome. Money raised will support Inside the Orchestra’s Overture Outreach Ticket Project. This project provides free and discounted Tiny Tots tickets for families and schools, embodying our commitment to an open-door policy at Inside the Orchestra. We can’t offer these opportunities without the support of people like you.
MUSICAL MAKERSPACE
FORMAT
Guests will move through 4 interactive art stations for the first 45 minutes of the event. Solo musicians will be at each station performing a selection of music during various projects. After 45 minutes, guests will convene for a 20 minute concert by a selection of Inside the Orchestra’s musicians.
STATION 1: Art Musical Chairs
A community Art project where guests will add their own personal touch to a larger art piece and then shift to the next one (hence musical chairs). This will be fun for young ones and adults alike.
STATION 2: Portrait of a Composer
Guests will be invited to listen to a piece of music and draw what they think the composer may have looked like based on what they hear. When finished, the actual composer will be revealed.
STATION 3: Musical Poetry
Guests will be invited to select printed words and listen to music, then create their own poems with the random words provided.
STATION 4: Making Moves/ Silent Disco
A freestyle area where guests of all ages are invited to move and dance to music playing in headphones. Join us for this fun dance party!
