Tiny Tots 2019-20 Full Season

This post is also available in: Español (Spanish)

Tiny Tots programs are 45-minute interactive concerts for kids six and under (and their adults!) to get truly “inside the orchestra.” Attendees are seated on the floor and encircled by our 30+ piece orchestra. Music selection, program design, and scripting are all geared to connect young children with music – physically, emotionally, and mentally. Named in Denver Westword’s “Best of Denver,” the experience is one-of-a-kind!

Summer 2020

This year, we are taking our June programs virtual. You usually have to be in Denver to attend – not this time! Our planned theme Play with Music – Let’s Get Moving is perfect for a virtual experience. Move and groove along with the music. This virtual, 30-minute program will feature performances from all of the musicians of the orchestra while a teaching artist leads children through fun movement and imagination-based activities to help engage them with the music. Kids will be encouraged to respond to every piece while learning about music and instruments. You’ll grow as music gets louder, march with a fun jazz trio, and bounce along like you’re riding on a horse – just to name a few.

Limited Time Only: The virtual experience will only be available for two weeks, from June 7th to June 21st! You must register to get access to the event. Register here

Highlights:

  • 30-minute video experience designed for kids to engage with music at home: Watch the full performance from the comfort of your home OR
  • Choose your own adventure: kids will also be able to pick select pieces based on what they want to do, and create the performance experience they want!
  • Guest artists from Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Hannah Kahn Dance Company, and Central City Opera.
  • Introduction to musical concepts, emotional understanding of the arts, and artistic expression.
  • An at-home activity guide to help you engage further with the music before and after you watch
  • In-person Tiny Tots has a suggested ticket price, but the virtual experience is being offered for free – though registration is required
